Position Summary:
AutoNation is looking for a Senior Director Aftersales Data Mgmt & Business Intelligence to build and lead a data and analytics organization that delivers high impacts on business outcomes, including revenue and profit. This is a leadership role that reports to the President of After-Sales, and is responsible for the creation, implementation, and execution of a data strategy for all after-sales data and analytics. This role will partner with technical and business leaders and must be comfortable with communicating to both audiences at all levels. The ideal candidate will have proven history of committing to and delivering excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and execute a data strategy that dovetails with the long-term after-sales business strategy.
- Serve as a thought partner and key influencer in planning strategy by bringing business and industry context to business and technology decisions.
- Establish data and reporting best practices that provide clarity into all things after-sales, including market intelligence, product and program effectiveness, and entity performance.
- Provide business intelligence and research science solutions to after-sales teams to support business operations.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
- Drive data governance that covers data integrity, metrics definitions, single sources of truth, security, privacy, and adherence.
- Utilize advanced analytics, statistics, and machine learning to unlock new business opportunities.
- Implement data infrastructure to support analytics operations, such as data lakes, data warehouses, and business intelligence tools.
- Identify new data sources, emerging trends, technologies, and tools that drive growth and innovation.
- Identify and align various technical skillsets, including analysts, engineers, and scientists to achieve common objectives.
- Establish a high performance, data-driven culture where speed matters.
Qualifications:
- Master’s/PhD in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar, quantitative field
- Proven experience in building data teams and transforming organizations
- Proven ability in leading high-performance teams
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the after-sales business
- Strong bias for delivering value and business outcomes
- Strong sense of ownership of compliance with data privacy regulations and data security
- Expert knowledge of data engineering and business intelligence, including working with and managing big data
- Advanced understanding of machine learning and statistics
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
- Travel up to 25% of the time within the United States, most often to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and/or the LA area of California.
