Impacter Pathway, a subsidiary of FLEX College Prep, is an innovative educational technology startup based in Silicon Valley seeking an expert Social Media Content Writer and curator to join our team in developing cutting-edge, culturally relevant, social-emotional learning content to revolutionize the K-12 educational landscape.

As a Social Media Content Writer and curator, you will play a critical role in shaping our products, ensuring pop-culture integrity, and driving excellence in learning design across our growing portfolio of edtech offerings.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled as a part or full-time student during main terms (Fall and Spring)
  • Evidence of demonstrated cultural competency and enthusiasm in serving diverse populations.
  • A pulse on what is happening throughout the internet
  • Deep knowledge of creator space in short-form video
  • Ability to make content decisions even when information is limited, work effectively in a team and autonomously, and implement different projects at once
  • Capacity to detect and minimize risks, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize activities
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and technology skills
  • A current resume or curriculum vitae


What you'll do:

  • Create content, instructional materials, and other student-facing artifacts to be used in classrooms and homeschool settings with a social media feel to it.
  • Curate social media that exemplifies social-emotional learning attributes in real-world scenarios.
  • Participate in the ideation of lessons, curricular components, and content revisions for print and digital K-12 products
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, UX/UI, and Engineering to align content and curriculum with market and customer needs
  • Select best-in-class content, including trend-setting short-form video content from a diverse set of creators, brands, and partners
  • Validate that the gathered material complies with company’s, industrial, and legal rules by verifying the accuracy and relevance of resources
  • Check and update digital assets regularly and, if needed, modify their accessibility and security settings
  • Investigate, secure, and properly document permission clearance to publish data, graphics, videos, and other media
  • Develop and manage a system for storing and organizing digital material
  • Convert collected assets to a different digital format and discard the material that is no longer relevant or needed


What we prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, learning design, curriculum and instruction, educational technology, or similar
  • 2+ years at a social media company or in educational curriculum design
  • 2+ years in educational curriculum design
  • Deep knowledge of the social media landscape: TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.
  • Knowledge of the K-12 industry
  • Expertise in designing student and teacher-facing content, such as lesson plans, videos, interactivities, and assessments


Where you'll work from:

  • Remote (U.S. residents only)
  • For residents in Cupertino or Irvine, the position is mostly remote with 25% or less of travel monthly to FLEX Cupertino or Irvine centers.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
