IMEG Corp. is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in our Lanham, MD office. As a Senior Civil Engineer you will be responsible for providing a high level of leadership, mentoring and training for less experienced staff.
Some key duties and responsibilities include:

Makes major design recommendations and design decisions with little input from senior staff

Plans design work by discipline for all project sizes and assigns duties to staff working on projects

Reviews correspondence prepared by junior staff; Actively participates in quality control of projects

Effectively serves as Project Manager on large complex projects or multiple smaller projects

Direct and train Civil Designers to assist them in completing reports, exhibits, plans and specifications and permit applications as required by the project’s contractual scope

Coordination of municipal, transportation, traffic, and other disciplines

Identifies prospective clients, assists in marketing to develop new clients and prepares proposals for services

Consistently brings work into the firm with existing or new clients and participates in presentations to clients
Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:
-
Mastery of the technical aspects land development civil engineering, including: roadways and streets, grading, SWM/BMP, erosion and sediment control, storm sewers, sanitation, and water design; Ability to mentor, motivate, and lead others

Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
-
Ability to interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs

Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Education and experience requirements are:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
-
Professional Engineer license
-
Minimum fifteen years of experience at the Senior Civil Engineer level
