Job Description:
Joshua GenTech Inc., an approved state vendor is seeking a passionate Robotics and Computer Science Teacher to work at a TN private school. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least two years of experience in technology in a school setting. The candidate should be knowledgeable in computer science, coding, and robotics, and should have a passion for teaching these subjects to grades K-12.
Responsibilities:
- Teach computer science, coding, and robotics to grades K-12.
- Develop a curriculum in line with current thinking in technology including automation and artificial intelligence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary lesson plans.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
- Provide support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and practices in computer science education.
- Attend school-related events and meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- At least two years of experience in technology in a school setting.
- Knowledge of computer science, coding, and robotics.
- Passionate about teaching computer science to grades K-12.
- Thoroughly conversant with current thinking on teaching Computer Science in grades K-12.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
