Job Summary

• Follow standing orders and standard operating procedures established by the medical director.
• Strive to provide the highest quality of care possible for every patient.
• Demonstrate the ability to utilize effective communication with patients, customers and members of the health care team.
• Perform duties and functions assigned by the ambulance director.
• Demonstrate behaviors which show regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, customers, colleagues and staff as defined by the Avera Granite Falls guidelines.
• Respond in an effective and timely manner to emergencies when on duty.
• Demonstrate care for all patients as per standing orders and operating procedures.

Education and/or Experience

• 18 years old with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Current DOT physical.
• Clean driving and criminal records.
• Self-direction, organizational, Planning, implementation & Communication skills.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• The Nationally Registered Paramedic (EMT-P) will operate within their licensure from the state of Minnesota as well meet the educational requirements of the National Registery of EMTs.
• Initial National Registry EMT-P certification
• ACLS, PALS, NRP and CALS certification within one year of hire.

Work Schedule

• Varied shifts, every other weekend, every third holiday, occasional call; 48 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $23.25 - $34.00 per hour
