OVERVIEW:

Our STEM Internship was created to allow an aspiring engineer the opportunity to apply knowledge attained in their degree program to a realistic, manufacturing environment. This internship also allows the intern to collaborate with other professionals, build their skillset, and bring fresh perspectives to our organization. As the employer, it is a cost-effective method for managing projects as well as identifying potential candidates for future full-time roles.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Completes various industrial engineering projects, including conducting time studies
  • Fulfills administrative duties as required
  • Supports engineering staff with various projects
  • Incorporates academic knowledge into hands-on work
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement
  • Initiative and continuous desire to learn
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written and with individual or within group setting)
  • Adaptability - Ability to work independently and ability to work as a team
  • Quantitative skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving
  • Computer skills, including MS Office365 (strong Excel skills)
  • Ability to follow and adhere to all safety requirements and rules within a manufacturing facility, including PPE requirements

EDUCATION:
  • Junior or Senior level undergraduate as of Fall 2023, studying Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or other related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
