Framatome is seeking a Financial Analyst for our Old Forest Road office in Lynchburg, Virginia.


Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Under supervision, creates detail financial transactions and reports used by multiple levels of management to review specific business goals, project statuses, and other information for financial analysis
  • Creates finanical postings (journal entries, allocations, transfers and batch processes) for assigned tasks. Will also review and post financial transactions for others outside of General Ledger, reviewing for accuracy, confirming supporting documentation and needed authorizations, as well as providing technical guidance and assistance on the creation of some entries.
  • Compiles detail account reconciliations monthly, quarterly, or annually on assigned accounts ensuring that financial transactions have been recorded accurately and in preparation for management review. (Example: Bank Accounts)
  • Works in a supporting capacity on team projects-to provide financial information, to map and improve processes, and to test and implement new tools.
  • Following company authorization levels and guidelines updates some master data (project structures, cost centers, orders, etc) used in the collection of budget and actual data for expenses, small projects, prepaid items, etc. Also monitors regularly scheduled error reports concerning the transactions on these cost objects.
  • Collects and summarizes detail reports used to support audits, tax returns, budgets, and special requests from other external regulatory agencies and banks
  • Focuses on learning the fundamental responsibilities of the role through structured and routine assignments. After gaining knowledge and experience of expectations will make independent decisions on routine matters, with continued guidance and direction for more complex tasks.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Business or related field, or comparable experience in lieu of degree. An advanced degree (MS or MBA) may substitute for 1-2 years of related work experience

The following may be used to differentiate candidates who apply for this position:

  • Background or Experience in Finance with strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Good communication skills(written and verbal) and not afraid to ask questions.
  • Experience using various communication tools, email, Skype, MS Teams, Outlook and other tools.
  • Experience and/or willingness to work with team members and associates in person and remotely.
  • Proficiency in PC Applications such a MS Office especially Excel, Word, Powepoint, Sharepoint and others.
  • Experience in using SAP Software for Finance highly desired but not required.
  • Experience in Accounting areas such as General Ledger, Bank Account Reconciliations, Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, Payroll, Treasury, Fixed Assets or Project Systems desired
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Good Organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan work assignments to meet daily, weekly and monthly closing schedules. Be able to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly, and work well as part of a team to meet goals and schedule requirements.

Our total rewards package

The range of base salary for the position is between $53,000 - $68,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
