Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. What you will be doing:

• Supporting members of our Civil Engineering and Transportation Engineering teams
• Use of AutoCAD Civil 3D for analysis and design of roadways, trails, sidewalks, water main, sanitary and storm sewer systems and site improvements
• Use of Microsoft Excel for development of project bid item tables, quantities and cost opinions
• Prepare construction plans and specifications, site plans, grading and drainage plans, studies and reports for a wide range of public and private infrastructure systems
• The position may serve as a Field Engineer or assist survey crews during construction of various projects
• Manage his/her work activities and team responsibilities and report to supervisor on status of project tasks

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering upon expected start date
• Minimum of zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in the Civil Engineering field
• Must have successfully completed or scheduled to complete the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in the next six (6) months
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc...

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience or training with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous Civil and/or Transportation Engineering experience including internships
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret engineering plans and topographic maps
