Job Description

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Admin Assistant for the El Mont in El Paso.

Job Purpose:

Strong hospitality skills. Organizational and time management skills. Typing 50-60 words per minute. Computer skills.. Ability to prioritize work assignments. Ability to work under minimal direction. Assistant to the General Manager. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they’ve made the right choice to stay with us.

  • Responsible for the cleanliness and neatness of the executive office, operation.
  • Place all maintenance calls on office equipment.
  • Take initial call for special room requests; i.e., employee rates, comp rooms, trade-outs, etc.
  • Must have general knowledge of basic customer service skills and be fluent in oral and written English.
  • Must have knowledge of local establishments, businesses and the surrounding community in general.
  • Must have vision ability to see objects and people at a distance.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Repeated bending and stooping required while filing.
  • Able to get to areas where copier, fax, scanner etc., are located.
  • No continuous standing required.


Qualifications and Requirements:

High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.


This job requires the ability to perform the following:

  • Must be able to communicate verbally and understand and follow verbal instruction.
  • Literacy critical for written communication with corporate, vendors and guests.
  • Must have excellent vision for typing, computer use, filing, etc.
  • Must have good hearing for telephone inquiries and guest handling.

Other:

  • Being passionate about people and service.
  • Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.
  • Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc.
  • Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
